Our Approach
This 10 week course will provide you with Carpentry and Joinery qualifications. This qualification allows you to for a CSCS Blue Skilled Worker card (once a CSCS test is undertaken).
During the 10 weeks, you will be trained and assessed to achieve the following:
Carpentry aspects:
- Constructing studwork with opening
- Constructing and installing door linings
- Hanging a door
- Fitting floor joists and installing floor coverings
- Installing and bracing trussed rafters
- Setting out and cutting a pair of common rafters
- Health and Safety in construction
- Fixing architraves and skirtings
- Constructing and fixing hatch linings
- Fitting locks and latches
Joinery aspects:
- Constructing halving joints
- Constructing housing joints
- Constructing through mortice and tenon joints
- Constructing angled halving joints
- Constructing bridle joints
- Constructing haunched mortice and tenon joints
- Constructing stub mortice and tenon joints
Our Assessors
Every assessor at Amber Training has extensive hands-on experience in the construction sector. As a result they can provide the most appropriate knowledge and a realistic approach to learning. The assessors will work to support candidates, employers, and mapping out expected progression; this makes attainment easier.

Up to 7 Days Notice = 100% of Booking Price
8 – 21 Days Notice = 75% of Booking Price
over 22 Days Notice = No cancellation fee
